What an amazing turnout we had for Vive L'Affiche, Long Island Picture Frame & Art Gallery's 1st Original Poster Show. This collection of fine original posters was curated by Wendy Curtis, who selected the art and was on hand both days to answer questions and give history on over 200 of the posters that we had on display. Vive L'Affiche Long Live the Poster will return to Long Island Picture Frame & Art Gallery in the near future...Stay Tuned!

Posters originated in Paris in the late 1800's, as an eye-catching way to advertise things like food, liquor, travel, products or a show. These beautiful well designed lithographs, many of which are stone lithographs, were meant to be displayed for a few weeks then discarded. Few survive in good condition today. We are proud to offer a substantial collection of some of the finest graphic art from the last 120 years. Come see this extraordinary collection of original posters on sale for two days only!
